NPR Story About The Summit Bechtel Reserve
In West Virginia, an Appalachian mountain is being transformed into a vast Boy Scout camp. It's more than 10,000 acres and will cost the Boy Scouts of America more than $400 million to be turned into The Summit Bechtel Reserve, also known simply as the Summit.
The 2013 National Scout Jamboree will be held at The Summit.

2011 World Scout Jamboree in Sweden
Here’s a story about the recently completed World Scout Jamboree in Sweden. It will be held in Japan in 2015, and then at The Summit in West Virginia in 2019.

Chess Merit Badge Coming Soon!
The BSA’s newest merit badge, Chess, will be launched in September with some exciting events designed to raise interest and awareness. The kickoff event will take place at the grand opening of the new Chess Hall of Fame on Sept. 8-10.
The merit badge pamphlet is being printed and is expected to be in Scout shops in late August.
